CREATIVE HANDS is off to Abu Dhabi for the very first PAPER CRAFTING EXTRAVAGANZA

Susan has a message for those in Dubai today : Those of you anxious about driving to Abu Dhabi -CALL HER! It seems it’s not a challenge, especially on a Friday when the SZ E11 is empty – it should be a 45min drive as the venue is outside of AD which means you can’t get lost in AD

I have been on the forum – have you? The workshops are plenty and new suppliers have signed up for the shop/demonstration area since my post.

Be sure to take along your ATC’s with your name and email on – its a great way to exchange details and share techniques with each other – this is what these events are about – making FRIENDS – getting some new inspiration and having a YOU away day

Who is it For?

This Extravaganza is for anyone who loves to create with paper, stamps, colours, photos, stickers, etc. Whether you are a seasoned scrapbooker or card-maker, or just starting out in this hobby, this event has something for you. Please note, children between the ages of 12 and 16 are welcome to purchase a ticket, as long as they are with a responsible adult.

For experienced papercrafters, this event is a “crop till you drop” and “stamp camp” all rolled into one. Leave your daily grind to spend a whole, uninterrupted day doing what you love!

As with any crop, you bring your own projects and tools to work on in a dedicated table space. It’s kind of like getting together with your crafty friends, only on a larger scale! This week Jessica Griffin visited ScrapbookinginDubai, she has an impressive resume I discovered when I popped over to her site and had a wee look around. I have been wondering about the idea of using digital stamps for a while now, although I do have a link in my side bar, they do open the window even wider don’t they, when you want to sit a colour in.

I thought maybe you too would like to join in a Blog Hop especially if Copic Markers is your ‘thing’. I joined Debbie Hodge of Get it Scrapped for my on line Copic Marker workshops; I am a member of the scrapbooking club and the learning experiences since joining Debbie in her Masterful Scrapbook Design club has been worth every penny. Unless you join and get stuck into all the interviews, videos and resource material you just won’t appreciate how much you can learn. The Building Pages workbook is particularly helpful if you want to move away from using other peoples’ sketches. But if you don’t then go to the site to download 30 sketches and templates for FREE whilst on that page look to top right in the side bar and sign up for the FREE 12 page Learn Scrapbooking Design Principals to get a taste of what you may learn from the Building Pages workbook. Are you looking for someone to scrapbook with in your wee part of Dubai? I would always recommend you pop over to say hello to Annais in her shop

Neelu has asked and I am happy to help. This is her email

‘My name is Neelu and I’ve been living in Dubai for over eleven years. I started scrapbooking in May this year. I would love to meet other scrapbookers in U.A.E and have tried to get in touch with a few. No luck so far. I’m wondering whether you and/or your scrapbooking buddies would be interested in attending a Crop at my place? I live near Al Riqqa Metro Station (Red Line) and would love to have ladies over. I would, of course, provide some snacks and refreshments. Ladies who are interested in attending will have to bring their own tools as being a newbie I do not have many at the moment. I’ve a couple of inks, chalks, stamps, a paper trimmer, all purpose glue, double sided tape, felt, corner punch and pattern papers in my stash.

If it isn’t possible to come to my place, we could have it elsewhere (as long as it’s in the evenings or during weekends ). So, what do you think?’
